Meet the Expert: Wells Howe, Principal Beneath the Waves Group

Wells HoweWells Howe is an expert in developing strategic private-public partnerships focused on environmental stewardship. He leads Beneath The Waves Group’s science-based finance program, with experience launching renewable energy solutions and ocean de carbonization initiatives.

His endeavors have led through both for-profit and non-profit sectors, launching new-to-market renewable energy solutions, and launching multiple sovereign carbon and biodiversity initiatives. He is currently leading Blue Carbon International’s science based finance program that focuses on carbon and biodiversity initiatives across large ocean states and Misty Mountain’s rewilding initiatives through a portfolio of ventures. He has provided expert testimony to sovereign nations around the world on the importance of bolstering environmental stewardship and enhancing ecosystem services, has presented novel conservation strategies UN climate and biodiversity conferences, and has co-authored peer-reviewed scientific publications on the concept of Blue Natural Capital.

In his spare time, you will find Wells backcountry skiing and exploring the New England coastline with his wife and toddler.
